The Shrimps Trust and Chairman Momi.

I bought the book shown above at an indoor Car Boot Sale this morning, thinking it might make a good present for Morecambe Football Club’s current owners, Panjab Warriors. I personally can’t think of anyone more in need of a basic guide such as this.

Regular readers will have read my plea to Morecambe FC Chairman Kuljeet Singh Momi which I wrote a couple of weeks ago:

As basically the Man on the Terrace with a pen, I don’t expect Mr Momi to take any notice of someone like me – or what I think about anything. But I hope he might respond to a direct request from a group with far more legitimacy than I will ever possess: the representative of all Shrimps supporters, the Shrimps Trust.

Over the weekend, they posted a quite extraordinary document that did not mix its words in demanding answers to specific questions which – despite his unfulfilled promises to be more transparent and `honest’ as far as the club and its fans are concerned – the Chairman will hopefully actually take the trouble to answer on this occasion. For those of us who still aren’t member of the Trust, here is what they said:

Good for them.

It will be very interesting to see what the Chairman has to say in response to all twelve of these queries. If he bothers to answer at all, of course. Call me cynical if you like but my advice – based on former repeatedly unfulfilled promises by this gentleman – is not to hold your breath.
